You're Invited! 

Dear members of the large De(h)ning family, 

you have recently received our first information letter on the family association's anniversary and now we are already in the anniversary year 2023. We would therefore like to invite you officially to our big family celebration on the occasion of the 100th anniversary of our family association. We would be happy if many of you would travel to the heath to celebrate with us on the festive weekend. 

On page 3 you'll find the planned course of the festival weekend with the activities we plan for you on Saturday and the associated costs. We would like to point out that costs for individual activities have to paid on site by each one individually. A member of the organization team will accompany the respective activity and, if possible, purchase group tickets.
Of course, you can only participate in one activity in the morning or afternoon, or only arrive for the festive evening. 

The family association will bear a part of the expenses for food and beverages of the festive evening. We would like to ask you to transfer your share for the evening until May 01, 2023 at the latest to the Family Association's PayPal account (a PayPal account is required): https://paypal.me/dehningdening (@dehningdening). Your share will be 35 USD per adult and 20 USD per child (if your currency differs from USD please calculate your amount to match these values). Children under 7 years pay nothing for the evening. Only after receiption of your share's payment, we register your registration. 

We will organize the festive evening with an exciting and varied program. There will also be the opportunity to look for you and your ancestors in the pedigrees, add changes, and even purchase a coat of arms. Let yourself be surprised!

If you would like to use the extended program (Berlin, Hamburg, etc.) in the week before the family celebration, please contact Christian Dehning (e-mail: christian.dehning@ewe.net) directly, who will provide you with further information. Do you know De(h)nings that have not received an invitation? Please let us know their contact details or copy this letter and distribute it in the family circle. 

We would like to present photos from our long family history. If you have interesting pictures in your own family album, you can send them by e-mail to bilder2023@dehning-dening.de. We are looking for everything from school enrollment to sport successes or public honors. 

We know that this trip to Germany might not be possible for everybody. If you cannot join us here, we would be happy if you could send us a short video to show us where you live. Programme 

Friday, August 4, 2023:
Free/individual arrival and reception of accommodation. We would be happy to welcome you at "Gasthaus Heidesee", Schulstraße 11 in Müden/Örtze at 6 pm.
This evening as well as the accommodations are to be paid for by yourself.
(IMPORTANT NOTE: The accommodations must be booked by yourself and early enough (high season). A list of possible accommodations is attached on page 4.) 

Saturday, August 5. 2023:
Saturday is divided into three sections. The morning and afternoon with the individual activities and the evening with the big festive evening.
 We hope that we have met your taste with the planned program. But if you still want to arrive for the festive evening only, we are still happy that you are coming. 

Morning from approx. 10:00 am (duration approx. 2.5 hours):
Carriage ride to the Kieselgur hiking trail in Oberohe
Meeting point: in front of the St. Laurentius Church in Müden
Cost per person: 16 EUR 

Canoeing tour on the Örtze (depending on the water level)
Meeting point: Landing place at the mill in Müden
Costs: 2-people Canoe 29 EUR – 3-people Canoe 33 EUR 

Afternoon from about 2:00 pm (duration about 2.5 hours):
Müden Wildlife Park
Meeting point: Pay desk area, Heuweg 23, 29328 Müden/Örtze
Costs: Group price from 20 persons; adults 10 EUR, children 7 EUR 

Faßberg Airlift Museum
Meeting point: In front of the museum entrance, Waldweg, 29328 Faßberg; Arrival on your own
Cost per person: 4 EUR 

Guided bike tour through the heath
Meeting point: Parking Gasthaus Heidesee, Schulstraße 11, 29328 Müden/Örtze
Cost: 9 EUR for 28- inch bike, 4 EUR for kids bike 

Festive reception in the evening from 6:00 pm:
Reception in the ballroom and taking the traditional family photo.
Followed by a family celebration with food, dance and a great atmosphere.
We will inform you of the address of the ballroom during the summer, as it depends on the number of participants. 

Sunday, August 6, 2023:
Morning: Guided village walk in Müden/Örtze, followed by farewell and departure
